Adam “Atom” Greenspan
Producer | Mixer | Engineer
Adam Atom Greenspan moved to San Francisco in 1995 to take an internship at Razor’s Edge Recording, this lead to him becoming head engineer & Studio manager while still only 20. While there he engineered Faith no More’s ‘Album of the year’. He moved to Los Angeles and spent time at Westlake Audio & Village Recorder working with artists like Marilyn Manson, Rage Against the Machine, and Bono. He went freelance in 2000.
With the explosion of home recording Adam was called on by many name artists to work in and even set up their private studios. This lead to a chance meeting with Producer Nick Launay who asked Adam to work with him on his next project.
Adam worked with Nick on Arcade Fire, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Refused. He also started producing and mixing his own projects with acts like The Veils, INVSN, and French Style Furs (featuring members of Cold War kids).
Adam is currently co-producing the new Idles album (released in 2020). He also mixed a number of tracks on Idles last album ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’.
He has just been nominated for an engineering Grammy for his work on Thomas Dybdahl’s last album ‘All These Things’ and a MPG mixer nomination for the 2019 Idles ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’.
